Overview:
When 72 Chinese cities come together to compete for the title of best sporting city, a spectacular opening ceremony is in order. The Electric Canvas provided 16 PIGI projectors for the event held in Wuhan China. Positions had to be created to mount thirteen of the heavy projectors from the 45m high roof. The Electric Canvas designed a mounting and access platform system that allowed the projectors to be safely mounted at the required lofty positions. The remaining three projectors were used for a central “drum” structure that rose from the centre of the field. The Electric Canvas also suplied their Onlyview media control system to drive the ceremony’s giant LED arrays.
