Overview
Build a swimming pool in a tennis arena? This was just one initiative required to stage the 2007 FINA World Swimming Championships in Melbourne – as was the use of the Onlyview System to provide video playback and live vision to various display devices used for the opening ceremony and on the competition days.
The Electric Canvas provided two 20,000 lumen video projectors for a water curtain set at one end of the pool. Onlyview handled the edge blending, distortions as well as providing synchronised image feeds to other video projectors, LED screens and the broadcast truck.
