For the third year running, The Electric Canvas was engaged by Sydney Trains to bring the landmark clock tower of Central Station to life with animated projection mapping for Vivid Sydney. “Keep On Moving” was an abstract exploration of Sydney’s vital train network, depicted in three scenes. Trains are the arteries of city and Central is the heart that keeps Sydney pumping.
‘The Hub’ symbolised Central Station, where all of Sydney’s train lines converge as they pass through the heart of the city and thousands of people navigate their way across the clock tower’s ornate architecture. ‘Out the Train Window’ took viewers on a trip to an imaginary world of scenery and landscapes, composed of vibrant geometric shapes and patterns. ‘Behind the Scenes’, explored the inner workings of our vast rail system that usually go unnoticed and are often hidden from our view.
